About Bethany Pipkin

Bethany Pipkin is a native of Oakway, South Carolina. Her experiences growing up in the family greenhouse business led to her interests in biology and art. Her current work relies on the traditional methods of drawing and painting as well as new media, utilizing technologies such as the Scanning Electron Microscope.  Pipkin earned a BFA from Clemson University and MFA from East Carolina University. Her work has been included in regional and national exhibitions as well as international publication. Pipkin currently teaches Foundations and Drawing and serves as Foundations Program Coordinator for the Department of Art + Design within The South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University.
